The Quadrifoglio is the high-performance flagship of Alfa Romeo's Giulia compact executive sedan, unveiled in June 2015 as the brand's return to the performance-saloon segment. The name means "four-leaf clover," a long-standing Alfa Romeo racing emblem.
It is powered by an all-aluminum 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V6, developed with Ferrari engineering input and sharing bore and stroke dimensions with Ferrari's California T engine. The unit produces 510 PS (503 hp) at 6,500 rpm and 600 N-m of torque, driving the rear wheels through a torque-vectoring differential, with a carbon-fiber roof and hood and optional carbon-ceramic brakes. Cylinder deactivation aids efficiency.
Alfa Romeo claims 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and a 307 km/h top speed. The car set a production-saloon lap record at the Nurburgring Nordschleife, with the manual at 7:39 and the automatic recording 7:32 in 2016.
