Pagani Huayra

The Pagani Huayra is a mid-engine Italian hypercar that succeeded the Zonda, debuting in 2011 and named after the Quechua wind god Wayra Tata. Production was limited to 100 coupes under Pagani's supply agreement with Mercedes-AMG, and Top Gear named it Hypercar of the Year for 2012.

Power comes from a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged Mercedes-AMG V12, initially rated at 730 hp, driving through a sequential manual transmission. A carbon-fiber structure keeps dry weight to about 1,350 kg, and active aerodynamics use independent front and rear flaps to vary drag and balance. Later cars pushed output further, with the Imola reaching 838 PS.

The lineup grew to include the lighter, track-focused BC, an open Roadster, the limited Imola and Tricolore, the Codalunga longtail homage, and the track-only R, which uses a naturally aspirated V12 producing roughly 850 PS.
