The Nissan GT-R is a Japanese sports car and grand tourer produced from 2007 to 2025 in a 2+2 layout with a front-mid engine and all-wheel drive. Conceived as a halo car under Nissan's revival plan, it succeeded the Skyline GT-R as a standalone model and aimed to match Porsche, Lamborghini, and Ferrari performance at a more attainable price. Roughly 48,000 were built over 18 years.

Power comes from the twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter VR38DETT V6, rising from 473 hp at launch to 570 hp in later cars, sent through a six-speed dual-clutch transmission and the ATTESA E-TS Pro all-wheel-drive system. The car inherited the "Godzilla" nickname first applied to the Skyline GT-R by Australia's Wheels magazine in 1989.

The track-focused Nismo variant, offered from 2014, made 600 PS with carbon-ceramic brakes and added downforce, and set a Nurburgring lap of 7:08.679.
