McLaren 720S

The McLaren 720S is a British mid-engine sports car and the second all-new model in McLaren's Super Series, replacing the 650S in 2017. It debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017 with styling by Frank Stephenson and Rob Melville.

It is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 producing 720 PS (710 hp), driving through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission for a 0-60 mph time of 2.9 seconds and a 212 mph top speed. The car is built around the MonoCage II carbon fiber monocoque, 18 kg lighter than its predecessor's structure and stiff enough to support the signature dihedral doors.

The range grew to include the 720S Spider with a retractable hardtop and the track-focused 765LT with 755 hp. The 750S succeeded it in 2023 as the final combustion-only McLaren of the series.
