2023–present Chassis S650 6 trims

The Ford Mustang is America's longest-running nameplate, in continuous production since 1964 and the car that created and still names the pony-car segment. Its 1965 debut was the most successful vehicle launch since the Model A, and Ford built its 10 millionth Mustang by August 2018. The GT is the V8-powered heart of the range.

The current seventh-generation S650, introduced in 2024 and assembled at Flat Rock, Michigan, uses the fourth-generation 5.0-liter Coyote V8 making 480-486 hp. Buyers choose a Tremec 6-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic, with rear-wheel drive preserving the car's traditional character.

Blending classic proportions with modern engineering, the GT remains an accessible American performance icon.
